Wordless Wednesday- Chicks and a Storm?

Wow--I can't believe it has a been a few days since I last posted!! I'm not kidding when I say this has been the longest week ever (How can it only be Wednesday!?) Ahh. Well anyways I see that a lot of you are also feeling the end of the year pressure. Let's get through this together!!

As a special education teacher, I go into the 6th grade Science class for half of the period. We are starting CHICKS...that's right...hatching chicks... this week and the eggs came yesterday!! Each student gets to have their own chick and watch it hatch!!! A special thanks (and props) to my friend and coworker Mrs. McChesney for teaching such a wonderful unit at the end of the year for our students!!

Here they are in the incubators in the classroom! I will keep you all updated for the next 21 days until the chicks hatch!!

Okay so those of you in the northeast..what is up with this storm! One minute I walk into the store and it's sunny and warm..and when I leave....total downpour and dark!

Wordless Wednesday-New Books!

I wasn't planning on blogging today because I didn't have a picture for wordless Wednesday and I have been exhausted (I know..how terrible is that!!)... BUT then I went to the Chautauqua Country Reading Council Spring Banquet. I had an ah ha moment and it all changed...  I am linking up with the wonderful Christina (Miss DeCarbo at Sugar and Spice!!) I LOVE going to the CCRC Banquet in the spring because we get to listen to an author speak! This year was Ann E. Burg...author of Serafina's Promise and All the Broken Pieces...both are must reads!!

Here we are skyping with Ann and both books I will have signed by her as well!

(It is HUMP DAY though....and for those of you who don't know (10 years ago the movie Means Girls came out!) Also...Can you believe April is already over?!?!

Today was an exhausting day...for those of you who live in New York...this is why......(It's not really wordless...but the picture should tell you what I did all day!)

While I was working at LOFT this past week..I picked up a few scarves for some teacher friends who wanted a little spring pop of color. What do you think of these scarves?!?! (Don't mind the green and orange straps---those are from my reusable wegmans bags.) Yes--I did take this picture in my car haha one of my coworkers wanted to see what they looked like :)
