Positive Thinking Thursday--It's 72 degrees and a Beautiful Butterfly!

Today has been a beautiful day and only makes me think that "spring" is finally here! It's 72 degrees out side...the sun is shining at 6:30pm and I have my windows open! Woo!! So I am linking up with Mrs. Laffin's Laughings forPositive Thinking Thursday

My positive thoughts for today....
30 something days left I think :) we can do it!!! Even thought my kids have checked out..and somedays I have even checked out...I just have to remember to Keep Calm and get through the rest of May and June until Summer!

Check this out...our 5th grade science class was keeping a moth in a clear plastic container to see if it would hatch into a butterfly and just the other day it did!! Isn't it absolutely beautiful!?!?

I don't think we figured out what kind of butterfly it is yet..if you are a butterfly expert and know what kind..let me know so I can tell my students!!!

Five for Friday!

TGIF...wow I feel like this week flew by!!! I don't know if that is a good or bad thing...considering this weekend is Easter and then it is back to school! At least it's almost MAY right?!?! Today is the perfect day for Five for FRIDAY!

I am linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching make sure you check on their page and link up!! I have had a wonderful week back into the blogging world. I could not be happier...I seem to be addicted! Either writing a post or reading other blogs...it is all I have been doing this break..but I am really okay with it!

So after blogging all week...and finding so many more things I want to do and try from all these other bloggers...I decided to start an OOTD page..I know that many other bloggers have this as well, but if you don't know what it is is Outfit Of The Day. You can check it out soon on my page bar at the top of my blog and everyday you will see a new outfit combo. Hopefully you will see it as a place to get ideas on what to pair together and how to wear certain trend items! You might even see a link up on Wednesday for OOTD...stay tuned!
 Here is a sneak peak....Enjoy!

I can't even begin to explain how excited I am to be getting my first Stitch Fix next week. I will be blogging about it as soon as the shipment arrives. I know I am behind on this whole fix...but I can't help but think how PERFECT it is to incorporate into my blog for Style Closet. I feel like it is all I have been researching and talking about this week. Get ready for a post soon!

April 21...3 days! Yes I am totally counting down...

These are two pictures from this week..Riley was not too happy with me at the beginning of the week..and then Charley. I have been blogging everyday instead of "dog sitting"... Apparently I haven't been paying much attention to them (even though I have!). So the other night..Riley and Charley climbed right into my lap to snuggle and pushed the computer right out of the way!! I didn't mind at alll... :)

Time for some change....Ombre Hair....what do you all think!?!

I wish I could talk more about my classroom...but since I haven't blogged in awhile, I don't even have pictures of anything recent! That will change as soon as I get back to school on Tuesday!!! But in the meantime...I can talk about BOOK CLUB (which kinda has to do with my classroom/school...) There are about 12 teachers that get together once a month to eat, drink, gossip and discuss a book! I joined last year as a first year teacher and I am SO happy that I did! I have become close with many wonderful teachers! I look forward to it every month! Last month ( I didn't read the book in time but I am reading it now and LOVE it) we read Me Before You by JoJo Moyes. It is a definitely a must read! For the month of April we are reading Serena by Ron Rash. I will be starting that this week as well! I have it downloaded to my iPad already!

I enjoyed linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching and sharing with you my 5 for Friday! I hope that you will link up as well! Don't forget to comment!

Tried it Tuesday- nails for days

I am lovinggg the fact that this is post number 3 since I started back in the blogging community! It's the little things in life....

Okay so today...I am obviously linking up  with my blogging buddy Fourth Grade Flipper for Tried It Tuesday!! Thankfully Holly left this open for two weeks! Thank you thank you! This is going to be an easy post....and it is more for the Style Closet portion of my blog....But I LOVE that I tried this many months ago...

http://fourthgradeflipper.blogspot.com/2014/04/tried-it-tuesday-intermediate-science.html

Do you hate to wait for your nails to dry...or as soon as you think they are dry and you go to do something, they smudge. How about gelish...Yes it is fast...but the UV rays and afterwards it can ruin your nails?! Okay I have the solution...Jamberry?!?! Has anyone every heard of it?!?! It is absolutely amazing. I have to admit..I was hesitant to try it..and I was like why would I spend money on stickers for my nails...that doesn't make sense! Except for the fact that it makes total sense...it is easy...doesn't ruin my nails....the designs are fabulous...the price is right ($15 for a pack that you can at least get 2 sets of manicure/pedicure out of) and it lasts for TWO WEEKS...just like the gelish (but better). You can do it right in the comfort of your own home with a hairdryer to heat up the sticky part. They also can be applied over nailpolish, acrylic or gelish nails. There are sooo many different designs and colors to choose from. I first heard about it at one of the consultant parties like (marykay, lia sophia, pampered chef, thirtyone etc)
Well now I have added Jamberry to my list of must haves and you should too!! I ordered it through the consultant that was at the party...but I think you can just order it without being in a party.

This was my second order of Jamberry...spring colors. Clearly had to get the purple/orchid (far left) since it is the color of the season. Shamrocks for St. Patricks Day. The Blue Robbins egg color for Easter (I will post that later) and chevron chevron chevron!! Fantastic

This was my first set....snowmen HOW CUTE are those?! My students LOVED them and thought I actually designed it myself. Ha! Perfect for the winter holiday.

Then my friend/teaching buddy Morgan...who introduced me to these wonderful nail designs....had these sent to her for hosting a party. I was SOO obsessed with them (seriously who wouldn't be)...she let me take some of hers! Obviously she was able to get a full set out of them too. :) How perfectly well they matched my snowflake pajamas for pajama day at school AND Christmas morning! Thanks Morgan..you are the best!!

I also had a wonderful black and silver set for New Years Eve...no picture though :(
Next holiday of course...Valentines Day....LOVE these little hearts!
The other thing I REALLY LOVE about Jamberry....you can mix and match the designs. I chose a matte grey with mint green chevron. So chic. Ignore the awful cuticles...I didn't say Jamberry gave you a manicure haha.

Clearly you have to try these and I promise you will love them as much as I do! Did I mention they also have Jamberry for kids!?! Also--the ultimate gift of all...it is always buy 3 get 1 free!!! Gotta love a deal.

As I was typing all about Jamberry... I realized my other Tried It Tuesday that I can mention..is the Post Settings on the blog where I can write posts ahead of time and schedule them to post on certain days/times. This is so helpful for when I am busy...now there are no excuses for not posting!! Love to learn something new everyday :)

Also--does anyone know how to fix under layout...my "add gadget" is not working and there are more I want to add! HELP! Thanks :)

I am also looking into creating my own linky party...who wants to help me create a button!? THANKS!

Please don't forget to follow me on Bloglovin...I would really appreciate it!!
Follow me/ Like me on Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest too!

See you all tomorrow!

Five for Friday (first linky and sooo excited!!)

It's already Friday and I am loving everything that has to do with this blog! I could barely sleep last night because I wanted to blog today! I am learning so much already...even if it is day 2!! (I can be optimistic right?)

Five for Friday is today so I wanted to link up with Doodle Bugs Teaching! Hopefully this goes okay!! But I thought this would be a great way to share what I have been doing this week, since it was my first full week off from teaching and to share with you how I got started with this blog!

First, I have to thank Christi Fultz again for this wonderful blog design. Please check out her at Design by Christi  If you are just starting a blog, or need a new design she IS the place to go!! She is absolutely WONDERFUL and really brought my vision to life!! Christi gives you a set time frame for when she will work on your blog, she keeps in contact with you and really listens to what you want, it was so easy and efficient. She was able to answer any questions I had, even beginner questions! You should really check out her work as well as her teacher blog here at Ms. Fultz's Corner

Number 2-- Summer Vacation is here!!! I have been on summer vacation for a week now and it has been a wonderful time to relax before I start tutoring and working at LOFT!! On Sunday I went to the Zac Brown Band Concert at Darien Lake in Buffalo, NY-- I love country music!! It was a great sunny day with friends to kick of the summer ( a couple of us in this picture are teachers so we were very happy about the break!)  This summer I will be going to many country concerts so I am sure you will be hearing a lot about those! What is your favorite thing to do over the summer? What other things are you going to be doing this summer?

The two components of this blog are teaching and fashion-- so rightfully so, I have to mention something about fashion! My first week of Summer Vacation wouldn't be complete without a few "purchases" (as my sister and I like to call them)-- a few necklaces, 2 dresses and a new wallet!!  I love bright color statement necklaces either paired with a simple dress or a dress with a pattern! There is so much you can do this summer to mix it up and add a pop of color!
This is a dress from Anthropologie and the necklace is from Francesca's The simple grey dress with the two-toned blue necklace is fun for summer! Whether you are just hanging out with friends, going out to dinner or out for the night--this will surely make a statement! If you need more color--add a skinny belt for an extra pop!
Both the dress and the necklace in this picture are from Francesca's! Don't you just LOVE the mint green with coral necklace!?! I can't wait to wear this combo when it finally stops raining!
I finally made my first trip to The Melting Pot with my friend Colleen on Monday. I CANNOT believe I have never been there before-- it was absolutely fantastic! Cheese and Chocolate--who wouldn't love that! The Melting Pot is a restaurant that serves fondue in a million different varieties. We chose the Fiesta Cheese Fondue (almost like Queso--which Colleen and I are obsessed with!) The waitress made the fondue in front of us and gave us many choices for "dippers." There were carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, bread, tortilla chips, and apples for our cheese fondue. Yummm! We then shared a flatbread which was to DIE for! For dessert (because you cannot go to a fondue restaurant without getting a chocolate fondue dessert) we shared the S'mores Fondue. You won't even believe the "dippers" that you could eat with this-- strawberries, bananas, cheesecake, pound cake, brownies, marshmallows covered with graham crackers or oreos, and rice krispie treats. Doesn't it just sound like HEAVEN! Take a look at the pictures below-- you should definitely check it out if you have The Melting Pot in your city!

Please please please follow my blog on Blog Lovin StyleClosettoClassroom (button on the right side of my page)-- I am new to the blogger world--and I don't have a giveway or anything, but I would really appreciate your support throughout all of this! Thanks :)

I just got called into LOFT to work! So I had to cut the post short. Have a wonderful day!
