I don't have anything specifically that I have "completed" but I am working on a few different projects for my classroom. So I am trying a bunch of different things to see what works....we shall see! Fingers crossed (I am so inspired by pinterest and all the blogs that I have been reading and love--I can't stop crafting!)
I just purchased at A.C. Moore Washi Tape! I have seen on many blogs that this stuff is amazing...you were all right!! I LOVE IT! I scored big time--Each one cost only $1.00 (plus teacher discount!- SCORE!) I also as you can see picked up many more supplies from the Dollar Store, Target, Michaels, Target, The Christmas Tree Shoppe. (Just a heads up-- Back to School stuff is starting to come out in stores!! Can't wait, I will be checking every week now haha.) Probably my favorite time of year-- more than Christmas :)
I also have my handy dandy Laminator that I bought last year-- best purchase in the ENTIRE world. If you do not have one-- I suggest you go get it (I got mine at Wal-Mart).
I also have my Teacher Craft box--with all of my necessities for crafting:) Hot glue gun, scissors, tape, WASHI Tape, stickers, labels, markers, paint (my new chalkboard spray paint!) All things necessary fit right into that little box and away we go!
Okay first I wanted to a create homework club chart for my students. Last year, one of my biggest problems in my special education classroom, was getting my students to complete their homework. I want to try something new this year as an incentive for completing homework each day-- you get to be in the Homework Club!
SO I found this at the dollar store--but it is very boring! Welcome---- Washi Tape and Sticker Letters! I am not sure exactly how I want to put on the homework club (numbers, names, pictures, etc). But they will have little magnets on the back!! I will also tie a ribbon to the top of it and hang it from my wall.
Those of you that are using this or something similar--how are you using it in your classroom?!
Okay-- Next Tried It Project is my new obsession with Chalkboard...loving it!! It is so funny because I have chalkboard in my classroom--and really refused to use it this year. But now that I have Pinspiration--I have found so many useful and creative ways for chalkboard! Look what I found at Marshalls (love that store by the way!)
This was a framed chalkboard (yellow) and it was adorable--but plain. Sooo I added a little touch of chevron and came up with the picture below! I LOVE yellow and grey together! I am going to use this on the front of my desk for a daily inspiration quote for my students :) OR a "Did you know?" board where we can write one interesting fact a day. See I'm still trying things out to see what I like best. Any suggestions?!
I do have other things I am trying..but I will save those for another post!
What have you been trying lately?! What is on your summer to do list for school?! I would love to hear some more ideas!
I saw the homework club chart on pinterest and that is something that I definitely want to do for the upcoming year! We are not allowed to take recess, etc from students who do not complete homework but it would be awesome to have a great incentive for those that do! :)

Fortunately or unforunately I don't make many of these crafty tasks since I don't have a class, we do co-teaching! Hence the reason why my co-blogger/co-teacher blog together!! :)

I love your homework club pan idea! Yep, I have already been buying for school this summer too. If you got those green bins at Dollar Tree for $1, I bought the same ones in like three colors. I have reorganizing my library on my to-do list with those bins. We'll see how long that takes me! lol. Thanks so much for linking up, friend!

I like how you added a little extra to the board with the tape. Simple, but cute! I could handle something like that.

Super cute! I just bought a pizza tray tonight at Walmart for the Homework Club. This is where I originally read about this one from Tara's Monday Made It and it was a freebie.
ReplyDeleteIt's the 2nd Monday Made It idea
